Aloysia citrodora Palau is also called fragrant verbena, lemon verbena or Peruvian verbena. This plant is native to the Andes, in Latin America.
Appreciated by perfumers, lemon verbena is used in cooking for its lemony aroma where it is used in the composition of creams, pastries and liqueurs.
In aromatherapy its compounds of citral, limonene and geraniol give it numerous properties. It is febrifuge, antispasmodic, antifungal, slightly sedative, digestive and antioxidant.
