Rosmarinus officinalis originates from the Mediterranean region where it has been known and appreciated since the dawn of time. Already in ancient Greece, it was believed to have stimulating effects on brain activity. Very widely used in cooking, rosemary also has many medicinal properties.
Our rosemary is grown and packaged in Reunion Island.
Properties :
Diuretic
Rosemary facilitates kidney activity and contributes to the prevention of rheumatism and gout.
Antioxidant
Its antioxidant compounds slow down cellular aging, stimulate brain activity and improve memory.
Cough suppressant
Rosemary helps ease painful coughs.
Antispasmodic
It helps fight stomach aches and period pain.
Examples of use:
Infusion:
Infuse, for 10 minutes, 1 to 2 g of dried rosemary in 150 ml of boiling water; take 2 to 3 cups per day.
Mother tincture
Cold macerate 100g of crushed dry leaves in 50cl of 45° alcohol (rum, vodka, fruit alcohol). After 3 weeks, filter the mother tincture. Consume 15 to 30 drops 3 times a day.
Precautions:
Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 7 years old.
