Ginger mango (Curcuma amada), dehydrated rhizhome, 40g
Turmeric amada is called “mango ginger” in Reunion because its flavor is reminiscent of green carrot mango. Originally from India where it is very appreciated for culinary preparations (sauces, shutneys), mango ginger also has many medicinal properties recognized in Ayurvedic and Unani medicine. Mango ginger has antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is traditionally used to combat flu-like illnesses, coughs, bronchitis and stomach pain.

Antioxidant
Mango ginger is used in the prevention of cell aging.
Diuretic and laxative
The enterokinase contained in mango ginger facilitates digestion and transit.
Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory
Turmeric amada helps fight colds and the flu.
Stimulating
Mango ginger is traditionally used for its aphrodisiac properties.
Examples of use:
Tisane
2 tsp of dry root per cup as an infusion to facilitate digestion, relieve flu-like conditions, coughs and bronchitis.
Detoxifying drink
Prepare a decoction of 10g of dry roots per liter of water (possibly supplemented with 10g of atoumo ) to obtain a refreshing and antioxidant drink to consume cold.
Kitchen
Add a few spoons of finely chopped dry roots to your meat macerations to enhance the taste of grilled meats.
