Of Native American origin, the ayapana triplinervis was introduced to Reunion Island at the end of the 18th century. On the island, ayapana is best known as a remedy for digestive problems due to its purgative and diuretic properties. The plant also has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-ulcer activities.
Our ayapana is grown and packaged in Reunion.

Ayapana is traditionally used against stomach pain, indigestion, constipation.
Anti-inflammatory
The decoction is used for fever, colds, headaches, nausea.
Anti-ulcer
Traditional use includes the treatment of stomach ulcers, pancreatic and liver conditions.
Examples of use:
Tisane:
Prepare an infusion of 5 dry leaves per cup of water. Leave to infuse for ten minutes. Consume after meals.
Skin application:
The infusion can be used in a bath, in a wash or as a local application to treat shingles or treat bruises and superficial wounds.
